Whoooo are yoooou???

This is my interpretation of The Caterpillar. This is my favorite so far in my wonderland series. I didn't want create a literal version with 6 arms and too insect looking. I wanted her to be long and serene. She's just chilling on her mushroom, smoking and she's interrupted. Rude!!

I used Acrylic paint, False eyelashes and beads to create the piece.  

I spelled out the phase Who R U? in the smoke using a liner bottle filled with silver acrylic paint.

I used false eyelashes over her eyes to get a 3D element on her face. I also drew a henna tattoo in sliver pen because 1. she's a hookah smoking caterpillar and 2. the silver compliments her blue skin.

I decided to do a henna tattoo in silver pen on her thigh. I sown pink beads on winged part of her outfit because i felt she needed some bling somewhere.

 

I'm Late, I'm Late for a very important date!!!

This is 3 of 6 in my Alice in Wonderland series. Originally i wasn't going to do the anthropomorphic animals from the Wonderland series because i didn't think I could pull off those characters convincingly. I then thought of Catwoman and I decided to draw them with masquerade masks. I think i pulled it off. So the masked characters of my series are The White Rabbit, The March Hare and Cheshire Cat.


Here is the 1st of those characters, The White Rabbit. My painting is entitled "I'm Late"
To create this painting I used Acrylic paint, White Lace, Stick-on Crystals and a Pocket Watch Pendent. 

I drew a pocket watch ring on her hand in my original sketch and i painted it on the canvas. Then I found a pocket watch pendent that opened and closed and decided to remove the chain and glue it on top of the painted pocket watch

Red Queen Playing Croquet.

This is 2 of 6 in my current Alice in Wonderland series. This is a sister piece to the "Alice Playing Croquet" entitled "Red Queen Playing Croquet", Acrylic on canvas 2012

My inspirations for this piece were the Evil Queen from Snow white, Jennifer Lopez in the movie The Cell and the hat is inspired by the hat Lady Gaga wore on a cover Vanity Fair.

Half-a-dozen Wonderland!

I've been working non stop and I've just finished 6 out of 10 of my Wonderland series.

I have recently become a fan of a truly amazing artist named Leilani Joy. She does Acrylic paintings on wood panels and illustrations. I came across her Youtube channel and when i was watching her videos, i was inspired by how passionate she is about art. After seeing her Alice in wonderland series which included Alice, The Red Queen, The Mad Hattress and The White Rabbit. So I decided to create my own wonderland series but i decided to expand mine by adding The Caterpillar, the Cheshire Cat, Tweedledum and Tweedledee, The March Hare. So far i've finished The Red Queen, The Hatter and the White Rabbit. I'm gonna post the process photos as soon as possible. :)

Oops I did it again!!!

I've just finished yet another personalised advent calender house (....well its really a cottage) It was made to order. I made it for next year because its obviously the month is almost over. I actually made this cottage and 2 more Santa's Workshop Advent Calender Houses in the space of 3weeks. The cottage is made from cardboard, paper mache, acrylic paint, beads, christmas wrapping paper glitter snow, candy canes and sweets. Here are photos the finished product.

Finally finished!!!

I've FINALLY finished both of the personalised advent calender houses that i made to order. I went a bit over the deadline by 3 days but thankfully they didn't mind.
I made a Gingerbread Advent Calender House and a Santa's Workshop Advent Calender House in the space of 3weeks. There made from cardboard, paper mache, acrylic paint, beads, christmas wrapping paper glitter snow, candy canes and sweets. Here are the finished products.
